Welcome to the The Model County Flying Club web site. The Clubs flying site is located between Ferns and Ballycarney, Wexford, Ireland. The Club aim is to promote the sport of model flying and help and encourage newcomers to learn to fly in accordance with the rules of the MACI. The Club has about 25 members, Sundays are the most popular flying day and we opperate all year round weather permitting.
New Members: The club welcomes potential members to come along and enjoy a test flight with a club member, this can be arranged either via e-mail or a simple telephone call to one of committee members. The club encourages people of all ages to come along take up this very satisfying hobby. The club provides full training for all new members to A-cert level.Training for new Club members is done on a voluntary basis. Only instructors recognised by the club committee are allowed to give instruction. It is up to the student to arange dates and times with his/her instructor. A copy of the club rules will be given to all new members on joining. Anyone interested in this hobby who would like a test flight with a member are welcome with prior arrangement with a club committee member or club member. Visiting Pilots:
Visiting pilots are welcome, proof of insurance and MACI membership (or equivalent for international pilots) will need to be shown on the day you wish to fly.All vistors are requested to abide by the Club rules.
